Comments: This white peony is endemic to the western Himalayas and grows in Kashmir in North-India, North-Pakistan and Afghanistan, in glades in forests at an altitude of 1500-3200 m. The name emodi is derived from Emodi Montes, the Latin name for the Himalayas. P. emodi grows to a height of 75 cm. and has large white flowers, 2-4 on each stem.
