Comments: This mulberry from Japan is an original specimen brought by Von Siebold from Japan. The name of the variety refers to Yedo, the old name for Tokyo. It is a small deciduous tree with tiny flowers. Silk worms do not like this plant, but in the wild there is another butterfly species (Calinagha buddha) that lays its eggs on this mulberry species.
